One-of-a-kind Pieces
Tim Chouinard’s work combines a deep appreciation of natural materials—wood and stone—and a fascination with antiques and industrial salvage to create truly one-of-a-kind sculptures and furnishings. Each piece tells its own story through the materials that went into creating it—architectural granite reclaimed from Boston Harbor, a one-hundred-year-old gear from a Maine paper mill, a worn beam from a turn-of-the-century barn, the leather and brass of an old oxen yoke. His designs recast objects in new roles, sometimes simply giving an old tool a new job, and sometimes transforming utilitarian items into whimsical art.

About the Artist
Tim Chouinard has spent more than thirty years creating beautiful landscapes, custom patios, unique fire pits, stone walls, and water features for discerning homeowners all across the charming north shore suburbs of Boston. While he still loves building spaces that entice people outdoors, his creative endeavors expanded into new territory after he began experimenting with creating sculptures combining stone and stained glass. Those initial projects opened up a world of possibilities, and now Tim crafts a variety of decorative and functional pieces out of a wide range of natural and industrial materials.
